"So Now What"

A Political Art Month installation by Xim

Many lawnscapes around the 09 & 12 San Antonio zip codes have sprouted the now common yard signs bearing the "no selfishness" or "no socialism" messages. If one sign is good, than 16 or 17 must be better right?!

Based on this logic, Xim has assembled a field of plenty to be discovered in the geographic epicenter of the "sign" zone - alongside the "dam road" in the Olmos Basin.

By making this overstatement, Xim hopes to make a simple statement.

First the creative/constructive process . . .

in order to arrive at the specific statement:

Xim rearranged the letters of the "no socialism" & "no selfishness" statements to form a contrived yet relevant message.

As promised Xim's message is simple . . .

"i seen los signs so now what" is a call to action. If all of those folks displaying the yard sign of their convinctions in front of their homes can take the next step and take action on behalf of the community cause of their choice . . . "09" & "12" will be even a better place for all its denizens!!

A second series of signs has also been created & displayed by Xim. . .

These more succinct statements can by found along some of the busier byways of SA's "09" & "12" traffic corridors!
