Mike Breidenbach
Mike understands the discomfort stemming from an irreverent challenging of personal and societal beliefs. This dynamic is a factor in what drives his art forward. His themes hover above the specific narratives about our commonly understood religous, political and cultural norms. Mike's goal is not to change anyone's beliefs with his art, but to get them thinking about what they believe in . . . and that is the first step toward truth. -
Daniel Armstrong
Our curiosity about Daniel's work turns to candor as we absorb his message. He alerts us to the grotesque influence authority has over all of us. In the course of our lives, one's individualism is consumed by assuming the mantel of becoming an authority figure. We have no choice but to engasge and exchange with unvoidable authority figures who are represented by these personas of baroque alligators. When we acquiesque to the demands of an alligator - what happens to our own individuslism? Is it reduced and reformed into a the grinning grimaces as represented on Daniel's vessel forms? -
Darren Dirk
These sculptural statements are probable confirmation of Darren's opinionated alter ego. Severfal figures present an exploration of the female form with a ribald & stripped down sensibility. A series of three wooden crosses carry narative details that comment on conremporary Christianity's institutional status quo. The collection of furnishings combine the highest expression of; quality craftmanship, exotic wood and a design style that serves as Darren's creative signature
